Reynette brings over two decades of experience in the development and humanitarian sector. She served as Head of Policy, Strategy, and Knowledge at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) for the Americas, and earlier as Coordinator for the Caribbean Disaster Risk Management Reference Centre. She also represented IFRC on various global committees. Before joining the IFRC, Reynette worked with the UNDP in Barbados, supporting youth development, public sector reform, and anti-corruption initiatives.
Her global work has included volunteering in Brazil, teaching in South Korea, and co-founding a Barbados-based charity serving the homeless. She holds degrees in Sociology and Anthropology, with advanced certification in monitoring and evaluation. Reynette now lives in Colorado with her husband, two daughters, and their miniature schnauzer. She remains actively involved in her local community through school committees and Girl Scouts, and enjoys reading, traveling, and time with loved ones.
