Emily Carminati

Emily is a nonprofit grants and communications expert, community development practitioner, and writer with a deep commitment to international ministry and survivors of war and conflict. Her early career in academic and administrative roles focused on conversations around human rights and human struggle, but a desire to move from dialogue to action led her into the nonprofit sector, where she has spent the last nine years.

She brings a blend of strategic insight and creative storytelling to her work, helping organizations build partnerships and communicate with clarity and compassion. She is particularly passionate about trauma-informed engagement and the power of local communities to foster healing and resilience. Emily lives with her family in the lush, rainy landscape of Oregon. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, painting, exploring tide pools along the Pacific coast, and getting lost in a good book.
